A.G. Barnes a great minister! What a surprise! I never did think his ambition was to be a preacher. I knew that he possessed many qualities along that line. We all found that out when he was winning all those debates.

The Southern Dentists' Association met at Fulton not long ago and she states that doctor L.S. Patton headed the list for fame. No doubt few people ever thought of his making a mark as a dentist. While in school with us he showed great ability as a cheer-leader.

Next she tells of Clarence Burch. He has worked his way through to fame as a comedian. I can just see old "Solomon." I bet he is a greal "Charlie Chaplin." He was always the center of attraction in our class. Those comic qualities, that keenness of thought and wit of his were enough to make him famous.

Here is something of interest about James Wheeler. he has given his life to Agriculture. He has been teaching in the Itawamba Agricultural High School for some time and has at last become Principal of the institution. He was always loyal and stood for the things that were right.

The last to be mentioned is Deward Wallace. She says that on a noted occasion the people of Fulton had the best band in the state to play for them and Deward happens to be the leader of this band. I will never forget the time "Singer" worked so hard to organize a band at school.

It was awfully nice of sister, she has told me of the whole class. And every one of them had actually risen to distinction. Why did I not stay in America? Would I have been a distinguished American to-day? This I will never know. But there is one thing I can say. I have played the part of a true American soldier by protecting the liberties and thereby assuring the opportunities of my countrymen.
